Integrated Management systems does not include the restrictions on Organic Farming. Integrated Management allows the use of pesticides approved for each crop and if their use is deemed necessary. At the same time, inorganic and organic fertilisers shall be used, if and when necessary, in the necessary quantities indicated by soil analyses.

The producer is obliged to follow specific production rules, in accordance with the instructions of the supervising agronomist, and to keep records of the practices he applies.

LOTAS was created by the European programme for the needs of EAS Laconia S.A. The European programme ran in 2015-2018 under the scientific supervision of Ioannis Grigoratos & Associates

LOTAS is a comprehensive program to record the actions of integrated olive oil management. Producers may record the entire producer’s notebook with all the work they have carried out on the olive groves. Supervising agronomists may issue the orders to be followed by producers during the olive growing season.

For example, the supervising agronomist writes a lubrication order for an olive piece after an analysis. The producer then performs and records the lubrication while at the same time recording the movement and destruction of the agrochemicals he used. The supervising agronomist can check all the work done in the field from ploughing and pruning to watering and issue new orders.

The programme also has the possibility of searching for and exporting all the four-way producer with all the work done in an olive growing season by a producer.
